ADA – East Central University softball junior Taylor Davis added two more awards to her season totals, as she was named to two All-America teams.  The Keller, Texas, native earned NFCA Division II All-American Second Team honors and was a Daktronics/Division II CCA All-America Third Team pick.

The third team pick to the Daktronics list makes Davis the lone representative from the Great American Conference and her spot on the NFCA Second Team makes her one of just two from the GAC.

Davis is the third Tiger to earn NFCA All-American honors and the first to win second team honors.  Cherene Hiesl (1999) and Leslie Phillips (2000) were both named to the third teams.  She is also the first ECU player to earn softball All-American honors from Daktronics.

Davis, who was honored as a Daktronics and NFCA All-Central Region First Team pick, led the team and the GAC with a .431 batting average and helped the Tigers claim their first GAC Tournament Championship and the team's first trip to the NCAA post season.

Davis, was one of three players for the Tigers to earn All-GAC First Team honors and was a member of the GAC All-Tournament Team.  She led the team throughout the season at the plate and is ranked No. 48 in the NCAA in batting average, No. 37 in on base percentage (.518), No. 93 in Toughest to Strikeout (20.6), No. 98 in triples (3) and No. 71 in walks (0.58).
