East Central University Athletics

ENID, OKLA. – The East Central University baseball team saw four members earn All-Great American Conference honors, with senior Nick Spini  (UTL)claiming the lone All-GAC First Team selection.

The Tigers were also represented by senior Oscar Gomez (SP), senior Bryce McKee (C) and senior Dustin Torres (OF) as honorable mention picks.

Spini led ECU and the GAC with a .430 batting average for the season.  The Fairfield, Calif., native also ranked NO. 3 in the GAC in hits (64), No. 1 in doubles (20), No. 8 in total bases (90), No. 1 in on-base percentage (.497) and No. 8 in slugging percentage (.604).

The honor is the second in two years for Spini, as he was named to the 2014 All-GAC Second Team after hitting .313, with 55 hits and 29 RBIs as a junior.
