ADA – East Central University softball senior Jordynn VanPelt has been named the ECU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 8.
VanPelt was named to the St. Mary’s NCAA DII College Classic All-Tournament Team, after helping the Tigers to go 3-2 at the tournament. The three wins included a shutout victory over No. 12 St. Mary’s (2-0).
The Snyder, Okla., native ended the five games with a .600 batting average. That included nine hits, seven runs scored, six RBIs, three doubles, one triple and three home runs. She ended the week with a 1.533 slugging percentage and a.667 on-base percentage.
