ADA – East Central University men’s basketball junior Braxton Reeves has been named the ECU Male Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 15.
The Fort Worth, Texas, native helped the Tigers go 2-0, with wins over Southwestern Oklahoma State and Oklahoma Baptist. The victories propelled ECU into a tie for first place in the Great American Conference standings, with Ouachita Baptist, who the Tigers hold the tiebreaker over.
Reeves tallied a career-best 31 points, with 20 in the first half, against SWOSU. He then added 21 against Oklahoma Baptist. For the week he averaged 26.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while shooting .581 from the field and .526 from beyond the arc.
