ADA – East Central University women’s basketball junior Jalyn Jackson has been named the ECU Female Student-Athlete of the Week for Feb. 22.
 
Jackson averaged a double-double for the busy three-game week, where the Tigers went 2-1 and clinched a spot in the 2016 Great American Conference Championship.  The Oklahoma City, Okla., native netted 11.7 points and 17.0 rebounds per game for ECU, while shooting .486 from the field.
 
Jackson started the week by setting a career high with 17 rebounds in the win over Southeastern Oklahoma State. She then followed that with double-doubles against Southern Nazarene and Northwestern Oklahoma State.  Against the Crimson Storm she netted 10 points and a new career-high 21 rebounds.  She followed that with a career-best 18 points and 13 rebounds.
