RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – After helping the East Central University softball team start the 2017 season with a 5-1 record, freshman Karlie Milburn has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week for Feb. 7.

Milburn made her collegiate debut for the Tigers and posted a 3-0 record, with a save, at the Southeastern Regional Invitational. The Fort Worth, Texas, native recorded a 0.50 ERA as she allowed only one earned run in 14.0 innings of work. She held the opposition to a .188 batting average and registered her first complete game in a 2-1 win against Missouri Southern State.

ECU will have the weekend off before heading to Bentonville, Ark., for the UAM 8-State Classic, Feb. 17-19.
