RUSSELLVILLE, ARK. – East Central University sophomore
Tarah Hilton was named the Great American Conference Player of the Week, for April 16, marking the second time in 2019 that she earned the honor.
The sophomore helped the Tigers (18-24, 14-19 GAC) to a 4-2 record last week, including a split with arch rival Southeastern and a 3-1 series win at Northwestern. It was the second GAC series win on the season.
During the week she hit. 556, with 10 hits, six runs, three doubles, two home runs, one grand slam, 14 RBIs and a 1.222 slugging percentage. She also added 14 putouts and an assisted out, with no errors for a perfect fielding percentage.
The Haslet, Texas scored the game winning run with a double in the first game at NWOSU. In the second game she then hit back-to-back home runs in the second game and added a grand slam to score the game securing runs.
