East Central University Athletics

East Central University baseball junior Lucas Kaplan has had a strong start to his time in a Tiger uniform. 

Kaplan is leading the ECU pitching staff with a 2-2 record after appearing in four games.  He has pitched 25 innings and recorded 22 strikeouts, which rank him No. 9 in the GAC.  He is also ranked No. 1 in the league with three complete games to his credit.

Last weekend, Kaplan earned a win against Henderson State to help the Tigers to a 2-1 record for the series.  The Huntington Beach, Calif., native tallied a 1.29 ERA, with two hits and one run allowed and eight strikeouts.
