Box Score ADA – The East Central University football team had a solid performance after its bye week, earning a 64-14 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State at Norris Field.

Senior
Caleb Holley came out strong in the opening half and set a school record for the most receiving yards in a single game before the intermission. Holley finished the game with 224 receiving yards and three touchdowns, with the yardage breaking the record of Dave Davis against Oklahoma Panhandle State back in 1969.
Sophomore
Spencer Bond finished the day with a career-best 418 yards passing and an additional 16 yards on the rush. Junior
JoJo Snell recorded a total of 123 yards rushing for his second game with over 100 yards this season.
ECU saw tackles from a large number of defensive players, with junior Darren Campbell earning 5.5 total tackles and forcing one fumble. Junior
JuJu Turituri tallied a sack for 13 yards and added 1.5 tackles-for-loss (15 yards).
The Tigers (3-3, 3-3 GAC) wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring a touchdown in the opening possession of the game. Bond connected with senior
Lindsey Anderson for a 16-yard pass to put ECU up 7-0.
On the Rangers (0-7, 0-7 GAC) first drive of the game, senior
Charles Ramsey forced a fumble that was picked up sophomore
Carlos Nazario. The played resulted in a nine-yard rushing TD for Snell to put the Tigers up 14-0 with 7:42 left in the first quarter after an interception by senior Ruben Tiller.
With 2:05 left in the opening quarter, freshman
Trevor Hunt sent in a 30-yard field goal for the 17-0 advantage.
Holley scored his first of three touchdowns for the day at 13:32 in the second quarter, with a 54-yard pass and the 24-0 lead.
Snell added a TD with 8:07 left to put ECU up 30-0 before Northwestern scored their first points on the game at 3:25 in the second quarter.
The Tigers added three more touchdowns in the final 2:15 of the first half. Holley scored the first two for the 43-7 advantage and freshman
David Moore added the third as the clock ran out. Moore caught a 38-yard pass from Bond after Campbell recovered a fumble with two seconds left in the half.
Sophomore
Carlos Nazario scored a touchdown on a block punt return in the third quarter and senior
Justin Todd rounded out the ECU scoring with a rushing TD to give the Tigers a 64-7 lead.
The Rangers scored the final points of the game, with a touchdown with 2:05 left in the fourth quarter for the 64-14 final.
The Tigers passing game made the difference on the scoreboard, with ECU recording a season-best 418 passing yards to 196 by Northwestern. The Tigers ended the game with 552 total yards to just 360 by the Rangers.
ECU will return to the road for its next outing. The Tigers will travel to Weatherford, Okla., to battle with Southwestern Oklahoma State, Saturday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m.
