Box Score

"The team fought hard," said head coach Riley Bailey.  We just started too slow and gave them too much of the game.  We had some quality chances the second half, but we just weren't able to convert."

The Lady Tigers (0-1) had a solid showing, recording 11 shots to 13 from the Thunder Wolves (1-0).  Junior Milan Galloway started her ECU career by leading the team with three shots, while senior Ashley Bradford and juniors Kourtney Holleman and Kristina Gonzales added two shots each.

Freshman goal keeper Lexi Hurley earned her first career start, stopping six of seven shots on goal from CSUP.
The Thunder Wolves scored the lone goal of the game at 31:35, with both teams combining for just two shots on goal in the first half.

Both teams picked up the offense in the second half, as Hurley tallied five saves and CSUP's goal keeper garnered three.
The Lady Tigers will remain in Pueblo, Colo., through the weekend, with a match against Colorado Springs, Sunday, Sept. 8 at 1:30 p.m. at Rawlings Complex.
