Box Score ADA – The East Central University men's basketball team won its second-straight game with a 76-59 win over Northwestern Oklahoma State at the Kerr Activities Center in Great American Conference action.

The Tigers (8-5, 5-2 GAC) were placed by senior
Colby Carr, with 21 points and five rebounds. Senior

A.J. Moutry was the only other ECU player in doubles digits, with 11.
While the Rangers (4-8, 1-5 GAC) scored the first point of the game, ECU followed with a 5-0 run in the first two minutes to take the lead for good. The Tigers kept the advantage in the single digits for most of the remaining time, until they took their first double-digit lead with 5:52 left on the clock.
In the final five minutes of the half ECU used a few runs to push the gap out to 15 points, including a key 15-5 run in the final 3:30 to take a 45-30 lead into the locker room.
The second half was much of the same, as the Tigers kept at least a 10-point lead all the way through the stanza. ECU led by as many as 19 early in the half and finished the game with a 76-59 victory.
The Tigers had a strong day on offense, shooting 48.9 percent (22-of-45) from the floor and holding the Rangers to a .360 (18-of-50) mark. ECU also took advantage of 36 trips to the charity stripe, making 28. NWOSU struggled from the line, going 18-of-33 for the game.
The Tigers will continue their three-game home stand, Saturday, Jan. 11 when they host Southwestern Oklahoma State at 4 p.m. at the Kerr Activities Center. The game is the annual Family Day sponsored by Mercy Hospital of Ada, where a family of four receives admission to the games for just $5.
