Box Score BETHANY, OKLA. – The East Central University soccer team picked up its first win in Great American Conference action in exciting fashion.  The Tigers (4-4-2, 1-1-1 GAC) claimed a 2-1 overtime win against Southern Nazarene at the Wanda Rhodes Soccer Complex.

ECU was propelled to victory by senior Kourtney Holleman, who tallied two goals on two shots on goal.  Senior Katie Glutz and Milan Galloway each added assists, while junior Taylor Graves allowed one goal and stopped three shots.

"What a great battle tonight," said head coach Riley Bailey.  "The team showed a ton of heart and determination and fought back to equalize in regulation.  We kept pushing and got the winner in overtime with a great team effort."

The Crimson Storm (4-5, 2-1 GAC) struck quickly in the first half, scoring a goal at 10:30.

The match remained with the Tigers trailing 0-1 until late into the second half.  At 75:19, Holleman sent in a goal on a cross from the right side from Glutz.

The teams remained knotted at one through regulations before ECU's Holleman secured the winner sudden death overtime.  The goal came 7:41 into the 10-minute overtime.  This time Holleman kicked the ball with the side of her foot over the goalies knee after getting a cross from the right from Galloway.

The Tigers will now have a week off before wrapping up their five-match GAC road trip.  The first battle with be at Harding, Thursday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. and finish with a stop at Ouachita Baptist, Saturday, Oct. 11 at 11 a.m.

Notes: This is the third time this season that ECU has had a player score two goals in a game, with the previous two coming from senior Milan Galloway.
