Box Score ADA – The East Central University volleyball team lost a close match to Southeastern Oklahoma State 0-3 (22-25, 26-25, 20-25) in Great American Conference action in the Kerr Activities Center.

The first set was a true arch rival battle with nine tie scores and three lead changes. The score was knotted at 10 when the Savage Storm (11-8, 5-2 GAC) used a 4-0 run to take the lead for good (10-14). ECU kept fighting, but the team either traded small runs or serves through the rest of the set before a 22-25 loss.
The second set the momentum was on the side of SEOSU for the entire match. The Savage Storm took an early 0-2 advantage and just several runs, including a 5-0 mark, to keep the advantage between two and nine on their way to a 16-25 win.
The final set was again a battle with 11 ties and six lead changes. The Tigers were the first to take an advantage with a 6-1 run that gave them a 7-3 lead. However, after the teams traded some points, SEOSU used a 5-0 run to take a quick 9-10 advantage. The battled resumed with the score toggling back and forth until a 19-all tie. That is when SEOSU used a 6-1 run to take the set and match 20-25.
The Tigers will return to action again, Friday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. against Arkansas Fort Smith in non-conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.
