Scouting Texas Woman'sThe Pioneers are 3-2 overall and 2-1 when playing at home so far in 2014-15 and are in the middle of a six-game home stand. TWU has a +4.8 scoring and -1.8 rebounding margin for the year, with a clear advantage in shooting percentages. The Pioneers lead .418 to .364 from the floor.
TWU has just one player that is averaging double-digits in the point's column, with two more with nine points per game. Ashley Salazar leads the team with 14.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game, while shooting .500 (21-42) from the field and .480 (12-25) from beyond the arc. Emily Spector adds 9.6 points and 5.6 boards per game.
The SeriesSaturday's game will be the 15th in the all-time series, with TWU holding a slight 6-8 advantage. The games in Denton, Texas have been close, with ECU going 3-4. The last time the teams meet was Feb. 21, 2011 when the Tigers fell 46-51 at home. The last meeting on the road was Feb. 7, 2001, with a 72-78 loss. The last win for ECU was Jan. 14, 2007 on the road (64-60).

Dilan Webster may be the leading blocker for the Tigers, but she is also making a mark for herself in the scoring columns. Webster has 964 career points and could become the 13th player at ECU to earn 1,000 points. She is also among five action players in the Great American Conference that have over 800 points and could become the fifth player in GAC history to hit the milestone.
Starting StrongFor the second time in three seasons the Tigers have come out of the gates ready to play and had gone at least 4-0, marking the third time in school history to start the season 4-0. In 2012-13, ECU won the first five games of the season. The school record for an undefeated start is 8-0 set in the 1984-85 season. The Tigers also went 7-0 in 1995-86, 5-0 in 2001-02 and 2012-13 and 4-0 in 1998-99 and 1989-90.

Taylor Fischer has moved into her starting role for ECU with strong numbers compared to a season ago. In 2013-14, Fischer averaged 4.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game and so far in 2014-15 she is netting 12.7 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. Fischer is currently ranked No. 4 in the GAC in assists per game (3.5) and No. 2 in assist/turnover ratio (3.5).

Dilan Webster had a key outing for the Tigers in the 69-65 overtime win over Arkansas-Monticello. Webster tallied a season-high 23 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, one assist and one steal. She went 10-of-14 from the floor and a perfect 3-for-3 from the charity stripe.

Dilan Webster has been a force to deal with on the blocks, as she became the ECU all-time leading blocker before her junior season (2013-14). Webster tallied 30 more blocks a year ago and has seven this season to more her own school record to 133 career blocks.
Starting Where We Left OffECU was picked to finish tied for fourth in the Great American Conference standings for the 2014-15 season in the annual Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league's head coaches. The Tigers finished with 58 points in the poll, with Harding picked to repeat as champions with 99 points and nine first-place votes. ECU finished the 2013-14 season second with an overall record of 19-9 and a 13-7 mark in league games.
