ADA – After a week off the East Central University men's basketball used a well-rounded team effort to claim a 94-70 win over College of Faith in non-conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

The Tigers (7-3, 3-1 GAC) saw six players record 10-or-more points and all but one of the 14 players that saw time score at least one point.  Senior Henry Pwono led the team with 16 points, nine rebounds, and four assists.  Sophomore A.J. Moutry added 15 points, while redshirt sophomore Braxton Reeves contributed 11 points and senior Brandon Lucas, junior Stirling Thomas and junior Jefferson Ocoro all tallied 10.

ECU scored the first points of the game and besides a quick tie at two-all, the Tigers led from start to finish.  The opening minutes of the game remained close, with the Warriors (5-7) cutting the deficit to one (13-12) with just under 15 minutes left to play.  However, ECU kept pushing and two minutes later started a 15-0 run to push the lead out to 29-18.

The Tigers kept the pressure up through the rest of the stanza and led by double-digits for most of the remaining 8:30 and went into the locker room with a 49-34 advantage.

ECU increased the intensity in the opening minute of the second half and had the lead out to 20.  The Tigers held the advantage in the high 20's until 11 minutes remained, when they ballooned the lead out to 30.  ECU's led by as many as 36 in the game, but a 7-0 run in the final 2:15 by College of Faith resulted in the 24-point win (94-70).

The Tigers well rounded approach to the game didn't stop in the scoring and rebounding columns, as the team recorded 26 assists, with 10 of the 14 players in the game dishing at least one out.

ECU had a strong night shooting, hitting 50 (36-of-72) percent of their overall shots and 43.5 (10-of-23) percent of their shots from beyond the arc.

The Tigers will have little time to prepare for their next outing, as for the third time this season they will play again just one day later.  ECU will host Hillsdale Freewill Baptist College, Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Kerr Activities Center.
