The Lady Tigers (13-6, 8-5 GAC) were paced by senior Alex Tucker who garnered a career-high 18 points.  Tucker added three rebounds, three assists and four steals.  Fellow senior Alycea Price added 10 points and eight rebounds, while junior Dilan Webster garnered 11 points.

"We had a slow start, but were able to persevere and make the adjustments needed to get the win," said interim head coach Emily Holombek.  "It was a tough game and Ouachita really read our plays, but we were able to play through it together as a team."

The first half saw OBU (5-14, 3-10 GAC) jump out to a six-point advantage (5-11), with 10:04 left to play.  Ouachita held onto the lead for the remainder of the half and had increased it to nine (13-22), with 4:33 left on the clock.  That is when ECU started to make their move, going on a 9-2 run in the final minutes to trail just 22-24 at the half.

The second half was a tight battle for the first 8:30 minutes when the teams were knotted at 34.  ECU followed with a 6-3 run in the next 3:30, but saw the advantage drop to one (40-39) 30 seconds later.  The Lady Tigers then used an 8-1 run to push the lead out to seven (48-41), with five minutes left on the clock.

OBU kept fighting, but could only get within four (50-46) over the next minute.  ECU ended the game with a 9-2 run, with most of the points for both teams coming at the free-throw line.

ECU earned the win by out-shooting Ouachita 40.8 percent to 25.0 percent from the field.  ECU also took better advantage of their turnovers, scoring 14 points off turnovers to OBU's seven.

ECU will return home for two games and the Kerr Activities Center.  The Lady Tigers will first face Southern Arkansas, Thursday, Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. for the annual PinkOut game.
