The Lady Tigers finished the regular-season 18-8 overall and 13-7 in the league while sending their four seniors off in style.  ECU honored Ashlyn Stafford, Alex Tucker, Alycea Price and Ashley Robison after the game.

Price led the Lady Tigers with 11 points and 13 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the season.  Fellow senior Alex Tucker added 12 points, while Ashley Robison garnered nine points and seven boards.

The first half was a battle at the start, with three tie scores in the first four minutes of action.  The Golden Suns (16-10, 11-8 GAC) then took a slight lead over the next two minutes before ECU made its move.  The Lady Tigers used a 6-0 run over the next 3:30 to push out to a 14-9 lead.  ATU cut the deficit to one (14-13), but ECU followed with a 17-2 run to lead 31-15, with three minutes left on the clock.

The Golden Suns tried to push the momentum in the final minutes, going on a 7-0 run to trail 31-22 at the half.

The Lady Tigers came out ready to push the momentum in the second half, and went on a 7-3 run in the first 4:30 to push the lead to 13.  ECU continued to pressure ATU and used a 7-0 run to gain a 45-27 lead, with 14:30 left to play.

The teams traded points over the next 8:30 when ATU made a final push, with a 5-0 run.  However, the Lady Tigers responded with a 20-5 run in the final six minutes to earn the 70-42 win.

After shooting poorly against the Golden Suns on the road earlier this season, ECU hit 44.3 percent (27-of-61) of its overall shots and held ATU to a 20.9 (9-of-43) mark for the game.

The Lady Tigers will now get ready for the 2014 GAC Tournament, where they will face No. 7 Southern Arkansas in the opening round, Friday, March 7 at 2:15 p.m. at Bruin Fieldhouse in Bartlesville, Okla.
