The East Central University football will be looking to win its fourth-straight game for the season and the fourth-straight over Northwestern Oklahoma State Saturday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. at Norris Field at Koi Ishto Stadium.
Game NotesThe Broadcast: ECU's radio home for Tiger football is Ada's KXFC, 105.5, FM 'The X-Factor'. Mike Manos returns to broadcast the games for his 19th consecutive season. Manos has worked 194 Tiger games since taking over the play-by-play duties in 1997.

The Series: The Tigers currently own a 47-23-7 lead in the all-time series against the Rangers, including a 19-8-1 mark when playing as conference opponents. ECU has gone 11-6 when playing at home and has won the last three games in the series.
Scouting Northwestern: The Rangers are 1-3 on the season after dropping their last three contests.
NWOSU is a stronger passing team than rushing, with an average of 282.2 yards passing and just 28.0 rushing. The defense has been pretty even allowing 223.8 yards on the ground and 257.5 in the air. One of the biggest issues for the Rangers is third-down conversions, where they are just 33% (22-66). Their opponents are not doing much better at 50% (36-72).
Reid Miller is the quarterback for NWOSU, with a 97-162-7 mark for the year. He is averaging 250.5 yards per game and has thrown eight TDs. He has a trio of receivers that he goes to the most. Justin Schandbacher leads the team with 154 yards and two touchdowns. Arte' Miura, Jr. adds 156 yards and three TDs, while Justin Lord has garnered 107 yards and two TDs. Zachary Doyle is the top running back for the Rangers, with 61 yards and two touchdowns.
Devin Peyton is the leader on defense with 42 (28-14) total tackles and 3.5 TFL (eight yards). There are three players next on the defensive charts with 29 and 28 tackles.
Dual Threat: Over the last two games the Tigers' rushing game has turned up the intensity to make it a dual threat with the passing power of quarterback
Rocky Moore. Through the first two games , ECU averaged 64.0 yards rushing and that has increased to 193.0 yards for the season. Senior

Tre'von Jackson are two key reasons for the increase. Hall has had over 100 yards in the last two games (113/144), with two TDs. Jackson added 85 and 182 yards in the last two outings.
Among the Nation's Best: ECU has had a strong season, allowing them to be ranked in the top-10 in the NCAA in eight statistical categories. The Tigers also have three players ranked in the top-10 in at least one category. Some of the top team categories are turnovers gained (2nd-14), fumbles recovered (3rd-7), punt return defense (3rd-(-1.75)) and turnover margin (4th-2.25). Senior
Rocky Moore leads the team individually with four top-10 rankings. He is first in passing TDs (16), second in points responsible for (96) and points responsible for per game (24.0) and seventh in passing efficiency (174.0).
Rocky's Offensive Power: Senior
Rocky Moore was named the GAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week for Sept. 21 after helping the Tigers to a 69-0 victory over Southern Nazarene.
Moore set the GAC single-game completion percentage record (minimum 20 attempts) by converting 19-of-22 throws against the Crimson Storm. He threw for 253 yards and five touchdowns.
Record Outing: ECU's 69-0 victory over SNU marked the first home shutout since Sept. 25, 2010, when the Tigers claimed a 23-0 victory over Southwestern. The lopsided score also accounted for the second-best margin of victory in school history. The record is an 8-0 win over Bacone in 1939.

Rocky Moore has had a strong start to the season averaging 324.7 passing yards per game, while
David Moore ranks in the top-10 in six categories, including second in scoring.
Bond Special Teams POW: Senior
Spencer Bond has made a strong transition from offense to defense and has earned the GAC Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the 35-28 win over Henderson State.
Bond punted five times in the Tigers win against the Reddies. He averaged 39.8 yards per punt and had two of his punts end inside the 20-yard line. His longest punt carried 46 yards. The Madill, Okla., also the team's starting safety, ranked second on the team with nine tackles, forced a fumble and intercepted his first pass.
Chasing the Record: Senior
Jameel Whitney finished the 2014 season with the record for the most tackles in a single season (111) and is now working on taking over the career tackle record from Norris Wrenn (2009-12). Wrenn recorded 278 career tackles and Whitney has garnered 243 so far in his career, just 34 off the record mark. Whitney is averaging 9.5 tackles per game this season.
Air Raid: The opening game of the season was a tight battle all the way to the end, but it was a good night for the quarterback and receivers from ECU. Senior quarterback

Nathan Pickett and junior
David Moore were the recipients of a good chuck of those yards, with each garnering over 100 yards. Pickett caught two passes for 129 yards, with a long catch of 82 yards that set up a touchdown.
David Moore caught four passes for 100 yards and scored two TD's. The Tigers had a total of 10 receivers catch at least one pass, with four of those earning over 50 yards.
Preseason Attention: Senior
Travis Hening has started right where he left off in 2014, earning 2015 preseason recognition. The offensive lineman has already been named to the D2Football.com Preseason All-America First Team and to the College Football America Yearbook Starting Lineup. The Yukon, Okla., native is one of two on the D2Football.com preseason team from the GAC and the lone member from the conference on the College Football American Yearbook list.
Up Next: The Tigers will hit the road for their next outing, Saturday, Oct. 10 at 5 p.m. in Weatherford, Okla., when they face Southwestern Oklahoma State.
Next Time at Koi Ishto Stadium: The next time ECU will be at home is Saturday, Oct. 17 to face Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m. The game is slated to be International Student Day to honor the largest class of international students enrolled on campus this year.
