The 2015 Great American Classic, presented by Landmark Bank, between East Central University and Southeastern Oklahoma State will be in Durant, Okla., this Saturday, Nov. 14 starting at 2 p.m. The rivalry is one of the longest in the state of Oklahoma and is currently tied. Students from ECU will receiving free admission at the game, with a valid student ID.
Game NotesThe Broadcast: ECU's radio home for Tiger football is Ada's KXFC, 105.5, FM 'The X-Factor'. Mike Manos returns to broadcast the games for his 19th consecutive season. Manos has worked 200 Tiger games since taking over the play-by-play duties in 1997.

The Voice of the Tigers: Mike Manos has been the Voice of the Tigers on 105.5 The X-Factor radio broadcast for the past 19 seasons. Last Saturday's game was Manos' 200th Tiger game since taking over the play-by-play duties in 1997, what is thought to be a record for broadcasters of ECU Football.
The Series: The all-time series is currently standing at 46-46-6, with the Tigers holding a slight 23-21 lead when playing as conference opponents and 11-10 when playing in Durant. While SE won the last meeting, ECU won the previous four, including the last meeting on the road (Nov. 16, 2013) with a 23-16 score.
Scouting Southeastern: The Savage Storm are 5-5 this season after winning their last two games. SE holds a 33.0 to 26.3 points per game lead against its opponents because all but one win came by 13-or-more points and over half the losses were by less than seven.
The Savage Storm is a passing team, with 2666 of their 4305 yards in the air. While they only have 1639 yards rushing they have scored more touchdowns on the rush this season (21-18).
Ryan Polite is the leader on the offense, with 2638 yards, 18 TDs and a 232-of-384 passing record. Franky Okafor and Kaymon Farmer are his favorite targets down field. Okafor has 55 catches for 758 yards and seven TDs, while Farmer adds 58 catches, 498 yards and six touchdowns. Ronnie Green is the top rusher for SE, with 695 yards and nine TDs in 147 attempts.
Kevin Jones is the top defender for the Savage Storm, with 64 (32-32) total tackles, two TFL and a fumble recovery. Raheem Wilson is also a key player to watch for, with 36 (26-10) tackles, five interceptions, 10 pass breakups and a blocked kick.
Capturing the Record: Senior
Jameel Whitney finished the 2014 season with the record for the most tackles in a single season (111) and took over the career tackle record from Norris Wrenn (2009-12). Wrenn recorded 278 career tackles and Whitney tied that record, with 14 tackles against Arkansas-Tech. He then broke the record in the next game and it now stands at 306.
Pulling in Records: Junior
David Moore's tied the single season receiving TD record of 12, set by George Robbins in 2011, against Southern Arkansas. His 12 scores this season also put him at 24 for a career, which is a new ECU Career Receiving Touchdown record. The old record was 20 set by Ed Wood from 1962-65. David also broke the single season record for reception yards in a season (970-Caleb Holley, 2012). David now has 974 yards this year and is averaging 97.4 per game. David is now just 326 yards from the career reception yards record of 2,101 set by Chris Barnes in 2001.
Senior
Rocky Moore is the other half of those touchdowns this season and set the single season passing touchdown record in the win over ATU. He broke the record of 25 set by Tyler Vanderzee in 2010 and now has 32 to his credit this season.
Whitney Defensive Player of the Week: Senior
Jameel Whitney was named the GAC Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 2 after helping the Tigers earn a 21-18 win over Arkansas-Monticello last week.
The Oklahoma City, Okla., native recorded 11 (8-3) total tackles, had a quarterback hurry and added a key sack for 10 yards. The sack came at the end of the Boll Weevils final offensive drive and forced UAM out of field goal range, which would have tied the game. The Boll Weevils kicker attempted a 51-yard field goal after Whitney's 10-yard sack and came up about five to 10 yards short.
Leaping Lexus: Junior
Lexus Jackson has had a good season on defense for the Tigers, but has been somewhat quiet in the overall picture. That all changed with 28 seconds left in the game against No. 24 Arkansas Tech when he caught his second interception of the season to guarantee the win for the Tigers. In 2015, Jackson has tallied 30 (17-13) tackles, 4.5 TFL, two interceptions and five break ups.
Taking Down the Ranked: The Tigers beat their first ranked team since Oct. 27, 2012 with a 20-19 win over No. 24 Arkansas Tech (10/17). The last time ECU defeated a ranked team was a 37-27 win over Ouachita Baptist at Norris Field.
Record Outing: ECU's 69-0 victory over SNU marked the first home shutout since Sept. 25, 2010, when the Tigers claimed a 23-0 victory over Southwestern. The lopsided score also accounted for the second-best margin of victory in school history. The record is an 8-0 win over Bacone in 1939.
Among the Nation's Best: ECU has had a strong season, allowing them to be ranked in the top-10 in the NCAA in three statistical categories. The Tigers also have two players ranked in the top-10 in at least one category. The top rankings for ECU is a No. 6 ranking in punt return defense (1.92). Senior

Interception Insanity: The game against Northwestern turned into an interception crazy game, with 10 total interceptions. The Tigers caught seven of those passes for a new Great American Conference single game record. A total of four players claimed an interception for ECU, with three (
Mariano Dillard, Dar-ray Jubilee &
Blake Summers) each netting two.
Dual Threat: After the opening two games of the year, the Tigers' rushing game has turned up the intensity to make it a dual threat with the passing power of quarterback
Rocky Moore. Through the first two games, ECU averaged 64.0 yards rushing and that has increased to 133.3 yards for the season. Senior

Air Raid: The opening game of the season was a tight battle all the way to the end, but it was a good night for the quarterback and receivers from ECU. Senior quarterback

Nathan Pickett and junior
David Moore were the recipients of a good chuck of those yards, with each garnering over 100 yards. Pickett caught two passes for 129 yards, with a long catch of 82 yards that set up a touchdown.
David Moore caught four passes for 100 yards and scored two TD's. The Tigers had a total of 10 receivers catch at least one pass, with four of those earning over 50 yards.
