ADA - The East Central University soccer team ended their 2015 season with a 4-2 win over Oklahoma Baptist in Great American Conference action at Tiger Field.
The Tigers (5-13, 4-8 GAC) was led by senior
Taylor Kennedy, who scored two goals in the match.
Senior
Taylor Lowe earned her first win of the season and recorded five saves.
Kennedy ignited the ECU offense at 4:37. She went one-on-one with the Bison (11-7, 10-3 GAC) goalie and sent a shot to her right from the left side of the box. Junior
Deanna Rudasill earned the assist send in a pass from the far left corner.
OBU tied the game at one at 29:58 in the first half forcing a tie at the end of the first half.
The second goal came just after the start of the second half from junior
Sitona Holm. Holm earned the goal on a free kick at mid field at the 45:40 mark.
Kennedy tallied her second goal of the match at the 60:18 mark. Rudasill sent in a corner kick that was picked up by Kennedy on the right side of the goal.
Summer Witt earned the Tigers final goal for the match at the 74:13 match. Senior
Megan Lantrip sent a pass into
Kaitie Herrin who sent a shot off the post, but Witt was there to kick in the rebound.
The Bison earned the final goal of the match at the 79:19 mark for the 4-2 final.
The Tigers had control of the match most of the way and ended with five blocks, holding the Bison down to only two total goals and 16 shots to ECU's 28.
