The Series: The Muleriders currently hold a 7-9 lead in the all-time series, while the series is even at two games each when playing as Great American Conference members. The series is also knotted at two each when playing in Magnolia.
Scouting Southern Arkansas: The Muleriders are 5-4 overall and 5-4 in the GAC and have had some close games resulting in a 34.0 to 31.6 points per game average for the season. SAU has lost its last two games, but both of those have been on the road and they are 3-1 at home this season.
The Muleriders are a passing team, with 2770 yards in the air, while they have just 1405 on the ground. That is also reflected in their touchdowns, with 25 passing and 18 rushing. Their opponents are closer to even with 1951 yards rushing and 1471 passing, but they have allowed 30 rushing TDs and just eight passing.
Barrett Renner is the leader on offense, with 2709 yards passing, 25 passing TDs, 342 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. He is 207-of-336 passing and has thrown nine interceptions. He has spread out his passing with nine players over 100 yards for the year, with three of those over 300. Tanner Hudson is the top pick with 610 yards receiving and six TDs. Deandre Jenkins is the top rusher for the team with 454 yards and four TDs. Jenkins is one of four players with over 200 rushing yards this season.

Whitney Defensive Player of the Week: Senior
Jameel Whitney was named the GAC Defensive Player of the Week for Nov. 2 after helping the Tigers earn a 21-18 win over Arkansas-Monticello last week.
The Oklahoma City, Okla., native recorded 11 (8-3) total tackles, had a quarterback hurry and added a key sack for 10 yards. The sack came at the end of the Boll Weevils final offensive drive and forced UAM out of field goal range, which would have tied the game. The Boll Weevils kicker attempted a 51-yard field goal after Whitney's 10-yard sack and came up about five to 10 yards short.
Capturing the Record:Â Senior
Jameel Whitney finished the 2014 season with the record for the most tackles in a single season (111) and took over the career tackle record from Norris Wrenn (2009-12). Wrenn recorded 278 career tackles and Whitney tied that record, with 14 tackles against Arkansas-Tech. He then broke the record in the next game and it now stands at 295.
Pulling in Records: Junior
David Moore's 11 touchdowns for the year have him just two from breaking the single season receiving TD record of 12, set by George Robbins in 2011. His 11 scores this season also put him at 23 for a career, which is a new ECU Career Receiving Touchdown record. The old record was 20 set by Ed Wood from 1962-65. David could also break the single season record for reception yards in a season (970-Caleb Holley, 2012). David has 773 yards this year and is averaging 85.9 with two games left to play.
Senior
Rocky Moore is the other half of those touchdowns this season and set the single season passing touchdown record in the win over ATU. He broke the record of 25 set by Tyler Vanderzee in 2010 and now has 31 to his credit this season.
Leaping Lexus:Â Junior
Lexus Jackson has had a good season on defense for the Tigers, but has been somewhat quiet in the overall picture. That all changed with 28 seconds left in the game against No. 24 Arkansas Tech when he caught his second interception of the season to guarantee the win for the Tigers. In 2015, Jackson has tallied 27 (14-13) tackles, 4.5 TFL, two interceptions and four break ups.
Taking Down the Ranked: The Tigers beat their first ranked team since Oct. 27, 2012 with a 20-19 win over No. 24 Arkansas Tech (10/17). The last time ECU defeated a ranked team was a 37-27 win over Ouachita Baptist at Norris Field.
Record Outing: ECU's 69-0 victory over SNU marked the first home shutout since Sept. 25, 2010, when the Tigers claimed a 23-0 victory over Southwestern. The lopsided score also accounted for the second-best margin of victory in school history. The record is an 8-0 win over Bacone in 1939.
Among the Nation's Best: ECU has had a strong season, allowing them to be ranked in the top-10 in the NCAA in three statistical categories. The Tigers also have three players ranked in the top-10 in at least one category. The top rankings for ECU is a No. 3 ranking in punt return defense (0.40). Senior

Nathan Pickett has moved into the No. 9 spot in yards per reception (21.18).
Interception Insanity: The game against Northwestern turned into an interception crazy game, with 10 total interceptions. The Tigers caught seven of those passes for a new Great American Conference single game record. A total of four players claimed an interception for ECU, with three (
Mariano Dillard, Dar-ray Jubilee &
Blake Summers) each netting two.
Dual Threat: After the opening two games of the year, the Tigers' rushing game has turned up the intensity to make it a dual threat with the passing power of quarterback
Rocky Moore. Through the first two games, ECU averaged 64.0 yards rushing and that has increased to 145.2 yards for the season. Senior
Jamal Hall, freshman
Tre'von Jackson and junior

#GiveMeMoore: The Tigers have scored 31 of their 39 touchdowns on the pass in 2015 and 11 of those have been between senior
Rocky Moore and junior

David Moore ranks in the top-10 in five GAC categories, including first in receiving yards per game.
