BETHANY, OKLA. – The East Central University baseball team fell to Southern Nazarene, 3-4, in the first game of a three-game Great American Conference series.
The Tigers (16-11, 7-7 GAC) were led by seniors
Dustin Torres and
Bryce McKee with two hits each. Torres added one run and McKee one RBI. Senior
Lucas Kaplan suffered the loss, throwing the first seven innings, allowing five hits and two runs and striking out three.
The Crimson Storm (10-19, 5-14GAC) started the game with a lead, going up 0-2 after the first.
The game remained at 0-2 until the eighth inning when SNU added two more runs for a 0-4 lead.
The Tigers made an attempt to come-back and earn the win, but fell just short with three runs in the ninth inning. Sophomore

Ty Huie to earn an RBI when he drew a walk.
After the first out of the inning, senior
Garrett Donohoe sent a run home with a sacrifice fly to left. The final run was scored when McKee singled through the right side for the 3-4 final.
The teams will wrap up the series against SNU, Saturday, April 4 with a double-header scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
