The Tigers (5-16, 3-6 GAC) were paced by junior Kaci Harrison, who earned her second-straight double-double with 17 kills and 16 digs.  Junior Madyson Gill added 18 kills, while junior Taylor Turner netted 53 assists.  Junior Lily Porsa led ECU on defense with 21 digs.

The teams kept things close in the opening points of set one, with a three-all tie.  However, that is when the Tigers took control, using a 5-3 run to take the 8-6 lead.  ECU kept control of the score through the rest of the set and used several small runs to push the advantage to as many as nine on the way to the 25-16 win.

The second set was tight with six tie scores in the first 16 points.  However, after an eight-all tie Ouachita (14-5, 6-3 GAC) started a 4-0 run to take control for the set for good.  OBU held the lead around four points until late when the Tigers made a late push to cut the deficit to one (21-23).  Ouachita then settled in and used a 2-1 run to earn the 22-25 win.

The third set was all Ouachita, as they took an early 5-9 lead and lead by as many as 14 on the way to the 11-25 win.

The final set was close, with Ouachita leading by no more than five, until late in the set when they used a 4-0 run to push the lead to 16-23.  The Tigers were not ready to go quietly, as they went on a 7-1 run to cut the deficit to one 23-24.  However, Ouachita was able to get the next point for the 23-25 win.

ECU will now start a five-match road trip with a tri-match, Monday, Oct. 17 in Langston, Okla.  The Tigers will face the host Lions at 3 p.m. and follow with a match against Mid-American Christian.
