The Tigers (3-10-1, 3-6 GAC) saw the lone goal of the match scored by sophomore Summer Whalen.  Whalen scored on her only shot on goal for the day, while sophomore Kendall Cook led the team with two shots on goal.  Senior Lexi Hurley stopped a total of 10 shots in the match.

The Crimson Storm (5-11, 4-6 GAC) needed the win to move above ECU in the GAC standings for the key No. 4 spot and the last team to make the tournament with just one week left in the regular season.

SNU started the scoring at 15:03 in the first half and added a second goal at 28:07 to take a 0-2 lead into the locker room.

The Crimson Storm added two more goals for a 0-4 advantage before the Tigers got on the scoreboard.

At 86:31, Whalen took a pass from senior Lexie DeVore on the right corner of the outer box and sent it past the SNU goalkeeper for a 1-4 final.

ECU will now play the final three matches of the season on the road, starting Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. against Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Okla.  The final weekend of the season will take place in Arkansas, as the Tigers travel to face Harding (Oct. 27/7 p.m.) and Ouachita Baptist (Oct. 29/11 a.m.).
