The Tigers (8-11, 8-7 GAC) saw a balanced offense, with four players recording double digits in the scoring column and junior Jalyn Jackson recording her fourth double-double of the season, with 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Sophomore Alexa Adair led ECU with 26 points and added six boards, while juniors Courtney Cowan and Whitney Stotler each garnered 11 points.

Both teams struggled to get going at the start of the game, with neither team scoring for almost three minutes.  The Tigers were the first to get on the scoreboard and the teams then traded shots over the next three minutes.  Ouachita (7-14, 4-11 GAC) was leading 7-8, with four minutes left, when ECU pushed the momentum of the game.  East Central went on a 7-0 run in the final four minutes of the quarter to lead 13-8.

The Tigers kept up the pressure at the start of the second quarter, going on a 7-4 run in the first 5:30 minutes (20-12).  ECU kept the advantage between six and eight points the rest of the half and went into the locker room leading 25-19.

The Tigers came out strong in the third quarter, using a 4-0 run to push their lead out to double-digits, with 8:30 left to play.  The advantage remained between eight and 10 points over the next two minutes, when ECU put together a 10-0 run, over the next three minutes, to increase the lead to 19.  The Tigers increased the lead to 20 in the quarter and went into the final stanza leading 54-35.

ECU never let up on the momentum through the final 10 minutes and increased its lead to as many as 22 points (71-49), before earning the 76-54 victory.

The Tigers shot 41 percent (25-of-61) from the field and 36.8 percent (7-of-19) from beyond the arc for the game.  They held Ouachita to a 34.7 percent mark overall and 25 percent from three-point range.  The biggest advantage in the game came on the glass, where ECU earned a 42-29 advantage and scored 20 of its points on second chances.

The Tigers will remain at home for the last of three-straight home games, Thursday, Feb. 11 at 5:30 p.m. when they host Southwestern Oklahoma State.
