ADA – The East Central University soccer team will start a four-match road swing, Friday, September 9 with a non-conference match at Northeastern State.  The Tigers (0-2-1) will also face Texas Woman's, Monday, September 12.
ECU played three matches in six days during the opening week of the 2016 season, with sophomore 
Chloe Hull earning all the time in net and recording 22 saves and allowing four goals.  The Tigers have not scored a goal yet this season, but has had several chances, with senior 
Taylor Kennedy leading the way with five shots on goal.
Northeastern State is 2-0 on the season, having shutout both Oklahoma Christian (3-0) and Northwestern (5-0).  Julia Mathis has been the top producer for the RiverHawks, with five of the team's eight goals and seven shots on goal.  Melissa Giles is also strong for NSU, with a goal and three assists.  Jordan Woodruff has played all the time in net, with 11 saves to her credit.
The all-time series against the RiverHawks has a heavy favor for NSU, with a 2-16-3 overall mark and a 1-9-1 record when playing on the road.
Texas Woman's is currently 2-0 and will face Dallas Baptist Saturday before hosting the Tigers.  The Pioneers have tallied four goals and allowed one so far in 2016, with four different goal scorers.  Chelsea Martin has one of the goal and has garnered five shots on goal.  Samantha Jimenez has seen all the time as goalkeeper, allowing one goal and stopping 12 shots.
ECU and TWU have met on 10 previous occasions, with a 4-5-1 record, including a 2-3 mark when playing in Texas.
