The Tigers (4-10, 3-7 GAC) were led by senior Jalyn Jackson who tallied her 10th career and first double-double of the season.  Jackson garnered 11 points and 16 rebounds, while adding a career-high four blocks, three assists and two steals.  Senior Whitney Stotler added 15 points and five boards, while junior Devon Brach netted 14 points and five rebounds.

The Crimson Storm (7-6, 4-5 GAC) took an early lead and did give it up throughout the quarter.  However, ECU didn't let up and never let the disadvantage get above two possessions and went into the break trailing 14-19.

The second quarter was a battle of runs, but SNU never relinquished the advantage.  The Tigers fought back within two points twice, but went into the locker room trailing 33-37.

ECU came out a new team in the third quarter, going on a 9-1 run in the first three minutes to take a 42-38 advantage.  The Tigers had the lead out to five (47-42), with just under six minutes to play, when the Crimson Storm pushed back with a 4-0 run (47-46).  The teams traded points for the rest of the half, with ECU holding onto a 50-48 lead.

SNU scored the final basket in the third quarter and continued a 4-0 run into the first 1:30 of the fourth to regain the advantage.  The Tigers countered with an 8-0 run to go ahead 58-52, with five minutes left to play.  Then it was the Crimson Storms turn to go on a run (6-0) to tie the game at 58, just 30 seconds later.

The teams then traded shots on the next minute and then both went cold for the next two minutes tied at 60.  Jackson broke the stalemate to earn her double-double and to secure the win for ECU, with 1:05 remaining.

The Tigers defense in the second half was key to the victory, as they held SNU to under 24 percent shooting in the final two quarters, while making around 35 percent of their own shots.  ECU also came out ahead on the boards at 45 to 38.

The Tigers will now return home for three-straight games at the Kerr Activities Center.  The first opponent ECU will face is Northwestern Oklahoma State, Saturday, Jan. 21 at 1 p.m.
