ADA – The East Central University volleyball team will busy this week, with three matches. The Tigers (5-17, 1-8 GAC) will first travel to face Langston, Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in a non-conference match and then return home for two matches at the Kerr Activities Center.
ECU will host Arkansas-Monticello, Friday, Oct. 20 (7 p.m.) and then Southern Arkansas, Saturday, Oct. 21 (2 p.m.) for the annual Senior Day.

ECU went 1-1 last weekend, picking up their first Great American Conference win of the year at Henderson State. Junior
Breanna Waldo earned GAC Offensive Player of the Week and led the charge in the victory, hitting .519, with 16 kills, four digs and three (2-1) blocks.
Langston comes into Tuesday's match with a 4-18 overall record and a 4-5 mark in Red River Athletic Conference matches. The Lions are led by Quiara Barbee, with 105 kills, 109 digs and 18 (3-15) blocks.
Tuesday's match will be just the fifth in the all-time series, with ECU leading 3-1. The Tigers have played at Langston just once in the series, earning a 3-0 win last season. The teams met earlier this season at the Tiger Invitational when ECU earned a 3-0 win at home.
The Cotton Blossoms are currently 7-14 overall and 1-8 in the league, but will play both Crowleys Ridge College and Williams Baptist College Tuesday before coming to Ada. UAM is hitting .135 (835k-450e-2857ta) as a team and allowing a .197 (920k-387e-2711ta).
The Cotton Blossoms have three players with over 100 kills on the season, but Maggie Pyles stands out with 234. Pyles is hitting .162 (234k-109e-771ta), while adding 23 service aces, 174 digs and 21 block assists.
The Tigers and UAM have met on 10 previous occasions, with ECU trialing 4-6 overall, but leading 4-3 when playing as conference members. The Tigers also lead 3-1 in the series when the matches have been played in Ada.
The Muleriders are 6-17 overall and 0-9 in GAC action. SAU will face Central Baptist College (Tuesday) and Southeastern (Friday) before coming to Ada. The Muleriders are hitting .144 (959k-528e-2987ta) and allowing a .210 (1098k-457e-3052ta) mark by the opposition.
SAU has four players who have tallied over 100 kills on the season, with Alexia Southern leading the way. Southern has 227 kills, eight service aces, 178 digs and 33 (9-24) blocks on the season.
The Tigers trail the all-time series with the Muleriders 5-7 overall and 2-6 when playing as GAC opponents. However, ECU leads 3-1 when playing at home.
