EDMOND, OKLA. – The East Central University women's basketball team dropped its final non-conference game of the 2017-18 regular season, with a 94-46 decision to No. 16 Central Oklahoma at Hamilton Field House.
The Tigers (4-4) were led by senior Devon Branch and junior Tia Williams, who each garnered 10 points. Branch added six points and two assists, while Williams netted two rebounds and a steal.
ECU kept things close through the first quarter, trailing by just five (20-15) after the first 10 minutes.
The second quarter is when the Bronchos (12-1) took control, out-scoring the Tigers 27-10 in the period for a 47-25 lead at the half.
UCO kept up the pressure throughout the game, earning a 21-9 lead in scoring in the third period and 26-12 mark in the fourth for the 94-46 final.
ECU will now get ready for the rest of the Great American Conference schedule, hosting Henderson State, Thursday, Jan. 4 at 5:30 p.m. and Ouachita, Saturday, Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. in the Kerr Activities Center.
