ADA – The East Central University baseball team lost the final two games of the Great American Conference series with Oklahoma Baptist at Ken Turner Field. The Tigers (9-26, 8-19 GAC) first fell 2-16 and then 1-9.

ECU was led at the plate by senior
Kodiak O'Ravez, with a .500 average, three hits, a home run, one run scored and two RBIs. Junior
Dalton Etheredge added a .400 average and two hits. Senior
Jake MeKeel was the final member of the team to garner more than one hit in the series, with three and an RBI.
The Tigers will hit the road for the final time in the 2017 regular season next week for a three-game series at Southern Nazarene, April 20-21 in Bethany, Okla.
OBU 16, ECU 2 (7)
In the opening game of the day, the Bison (26-15, 17-10 GAC) jumped out to an early 0-5 advantage scoring four runs in the first and a single run in the fifth.
ECU got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second, scoring a single run (1-5). Senior
Trevor Huie started the inning with a single and after two outs was sent to third on a single from O'Ravez. MeKeel then earned the RBI with a single through the left side.
OBU added to its lead in the fourth, scoring four more runs for the 1-9 lead.
The Tigers got their final run of the game on a two-out solo home run by O'Ravez in the bottom of the fourth (2-9).
However, in the sixth, the Bison pushed the lead to 2-16 with seven runs and forced the run-rule into effect to end the game after the seventh.
OBU 9, ECU 1
OBU again got on the scoreboard early, taking a 0-4 lead in the first inning.
ECU scored its lone run of the game in the second inning on a double from junior
Kade Hayes and a single by O'Ravez.
The Bison then added two runs in the third and fourth innings and a single run in the sixth for the 1-9 final.
