ADA – The East Central University soccer team will continue a six-match home stand this week, hosting Eastern New Mexico, Thursday, Sept. 14 at 2 pm. And Southwestern Christian University, Saturday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at Tiger Field.

The Tigers are coming off a 13-0 win over Randall last Saturday that set match records for goals, assists, shots and shots on goal in the match.  ECU saw three players (Jordyn Gibbs, Amber Tiger and Allie Verner) scored two goals each.

The win was the first on the season for the Tigers, after falling in the first three matches of the year on the road.

ENMU heads into this Thursday's match with a 0-2-2 record, after falling to St. Mary's (2-1) in its last outing (Sept. 10).  The close record is reflected in the season statistics, with the Greyhounds trailing by just two in goals (6-8), but leading 49-41 in shots attempted.

Kaitlyn Caro and Jaci Sievers lead the team with two goals each, while Keyara Zuniga and Samantha Fabela each have netted one.  Alejandra Camarillo has seen all the time in net for ENMU, recording a 1.71 goals against average and 17 saves.

The match with the Greyhounds will be the ninth in the all-time series, dating back to 2003.  The Tigers trail 3-4-1 overall, with all the previous meetings coming when both teams were part of the Lone Star Conference.  ECU is 3-1 when playing ENMU at home, with the last meeting in the series coming during the 2010 season (L, 0-1 (OT)) on the road.

Southwestern Christian is currently 2-3 overall and will face Bethel (Kan.), Wednesday, Sept. 13 before heading to Ada.  The Eagles have tallied 10 goals on the year and allowed 14 on the year.

Emily Anderson leads the team with three goals, while Micah Bartram and Kaitlyn Carroll each add two.  Carroll has also garnered four assists, to lead the team with eight points.

Ashlynn Haylett and Taylor Rodriguez have split the time in net, with both playing in four matches and earning starts in at least two.  Haylett has a 4.33 goals against average and has tallied 13 saves.  Rodriguez adds a 0.900 GAA and eight saves.

Saturday's match will mark the first time that the Tigers and the Eagles have played each other.
