Box Score ADA – The East Central University soccer team earned its third-straight victory, with 2-0 shutout over Southwestern Christian in non-conference action at Tiger Field.
The shutout was the first on the season for the Tigers, who are now 3-3 overall and will head into Great American Conference action next week.
ECU was paced by freshman
Courtney Tracy, who tallied a goal and an assist, while sophomore
Aubrey Leveling earning the second goal. The Tigers played three different goalkeepers in the game, with junior
Chloe Hull earning the win and playing the full first half. Hull stopped the two shots she faced.
Tracy got the scoring started for ECU at 40:13, in the first period, when she sent in a shot from the middle of the box that was deflected off sophomore Kristen Yacey and freshman
Lauren Keck.
Leveling added the final goal of the game, at 46:43 in the second half, sending in a shot from the left corner of the box.
The Tigers will remain at home for the next three matches, starting GAC action. ECU will first battle Southwestern Oklahoma State, Thursday, Sept. 21 at 4 p.m. The Tigers will also host Northwestern Oklahoma State (Sept. 23/11 a.m.) and Southern Nazarene (Sept. 28/2 p.m.) in the home stand.
