Box Score ADA – The East Central University soccer team fell to Rogers State, 2-0, in the first match of the 2017 season at Tiger Field.

The Tigers (0-2) tallied a total of seven shots, with a shot on goal from sophomores Alexis Castillo and Jordyn Gibbs.  The Hillscats (2-0) tallied 29 total shots, with nine finding the net and 10 being blocked by the ECU defense.

The teams remained scoreless until the final two minutes of the first half, when RSU scored at 43:28 off a corner kick to take a 1-0 lead into the break.

The Hillcats then added the final score of the game at 52:39 off a free kick right in front of the box.

The Tigers will return to action, Tuesday, Sept. 5 with a match on the road at Newman.  The match is set to start at 6 p.m. in Wichita, Kan.
