Volleyball Honors Seniors in Final Match of 2018

ADA – The East Central University volleyball team honored its three seniors in the final match of the 2018 season, falling to Northwestern Oklahoma State, 3-1 (25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-19) at the Kerr Activities Center.

Scoring
  • Set One: L, 18-25
    • The Rangers (18-13, 7-9 GAC) opened the set with a 4-0 run and didn't let go of the lead
  • Set Two: L, 23-25
    • Seven tie scores/One lead change
    • Tied at three when the Tigers (0-28, 0-16 GAC) used a 3-0 run to take the lead
    • ECU held the lead until late in the set, leading by as many as seven
    • NWOSU used a 5-0 run to tie the set at 20
    • Teams traded points until tied at 23
    • The Rangers then earned the final two points for the win
  • Set Three: W, 25-23
    • Nine tie scores/Two lead changes
    • Tied through four when ECU used a 3-0 run for a 7-4 advantage
    • NWOSU quickly tied the set at seven and the teams traded points to a tie at 10
    • The Tigers regained the lead with a 2-0 run and held to a 19-16 lead
    • The Rangers then used a 3-0 run to tie the set at 19
    • ECU quickly recovered with a 2-0 run to gain the lead for good

    • NWOSU took an early 4-1 lead and never let it go
    • Lead by as many as 11
    • The Tigers held of five set points
