Women’s Basketball Ends GAC Swing with Win at Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, OKLA. – The East Central University women's basketball team snapped a two-game losing streak, with a 70-52 victory at Oklahoma Baptist in Great American Conference action.

Scoring
  • First Quarter: 15-7
    • The Bison (4-4, 1-2 GAC) scored the first three points
    • The Tigers (4-3, 1-2 GAC) followed with an 8-0 run through the first five minutes (8-3)
    • OKBU got back on the board with just under three minutes left
    • ECU ended the quarter with a 7-2 run
  • Second Quarter: 18-10 (33-17)
    • The Tigers went on a 5-0 run in the first two minutes of the quarter (20-7)
    • In the next two minutes the Bison cut the deficit back to eight (25-17)
    • ECU countered with an 8-0 run through the end of the quarter
  • Third Quarter:  26-22 (59-39)
    • OKBU made the first shot in the second half
    • The Tigers followed with a 7-0 run (40-20) in the first two minutes
    • ECU led by as many as 24 (55-31)
    • Kept the lead around 20 the rest of the quarter
