ADA – The East Central University baseball team finished the final two games of the Great American Conference series with Henderson State, falling in both of the doubleheader games.  The Tigers (2-25, 1-17 GAC) first dropped a 6-1 decision before falling 10-0 in the finale.

ECU was led by sophomore Ryan White, hitting .600 and netting three hits on the day.

The Tigers will now get ready for four-straight road games, starting Tuesday, March 27 at Oklahoma Baptist at 6 p.m. and then a GAC series with Arkansas Tech, March 30-31.

HSU 6, ECU 1
The Tigers were the first to get on the scoreboard, with a single run in the bottom of the third.  After the first two outs were recorded, seniors Trevor Crone and Bryce Dimitroff hit back-to-back doubles for the 1-0 lead.

However, the Reddies (19-10, 13-4 GAC) responded with three runs in the top of the fourth inning to gain a 3-1 advantage.

Both teams went scoreless for the next three innings before HSU added two runs in the eighth for a 5-1 lead.  The Reddies put one more run up in the ninth for the 6-1 final.

HSU 10, ECU 0
HSU made a statement right away in the game, taking a 2-0 lead after the first inning.  The Reddies then added three runs in the third, one in the fourth, two in the fifth and two in the sixth for the 10-0 win.
