Men’s Basketball Falls to Southern Nazarene

ADA, OKLA. – The East Central University men's basketball team suffered its first loss at home in the 2018-19 season, with a 75-56 loss to Southern Nazarene at the Kerr Activities Center.

Scoring
  • First Half: 27-40
    • The Tigers (9-6, 6-4 GAC) hit the first shot of the game
    • Teams traded shots for the first three minutes to be knotted at eight
    • ECU took a small 1-2 advantage in the next four minutes, but the Crimson Storm (15-3, 8-2 GAC) fought back to tie the game at 17
    • SNU took its first lead of the game, with 10:20 remaining (19-20)
    • The Crimson Storm kept pushing and got their advantage to 10, with four minutes left
    • In the final four minutes SNU went on a 7-0 run to push the lead to 17
  • Second Half: 29-35
    • The Tigers cut the lead to 11 in the first five minutes
    • SNU then pushed the lead back to 18 (52-34) over the next minute
    • The Crimson Storm kept pushing and got the lead out to as many as 22 (61-39)
    • ECU made a final run, but could only get the disadvantage down to 14 (62-48), with 6:15 remaining in the game
    • SNU pushed the lead back out to as many as 20 in the remaining time, but the Tigers could not get closer than 14
