Women’s Basketball Nets Win Over Ouachita Baptist

ADA, OKLA. – The East Central University women's basketball team picked up its second-straight victory with a 78-55 victory over Ouachita Baptist in Great American Conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

  • First Quarter: 11-15
    • Ouachita (5-13, 3-9 GAC) opened the game on a 4-0 run in the first 1:30
    • The Tigers (14-4, 9-3 GAC) quickly tied the game at 4 (7:58) and took a 7-4 lead (6:55)
    • Both teams remained scoreless for the next 2:30 minutes
    • Ouachita cut the deficit to one (7-6)
    • ECU took its final lead of the quarter (10-6), with four minutes left
    • Ouachita went on a 9-1 run in the remaining time

    • Ouachita was able to get its first points in the stanza, with 3:43 remaining, hitting three free-throws
    • ECU did not allow Ouachita to earn a field goal until 2:26 was left on the clock
