Volleyball Opens Weekend at Ouachita Baptist

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The East Central University volleyball team played their first match in Arkadelphia, Ark., for the weekend, falling in three at Ouachita Baptist.  The Tigers (2-21, 1-7 GAC) will then cross the street for Friday's match against Henderson State at 12 p.m.

Scoring
  • Set One: L, 19-25
    • The set was close most of the way through
      • OUA held only a two or three-point lead at times, but ECU kept fighting back
    • The match was tied 10 times and had 4 lead changes, with the final tie coming at 15
    • The final streak for Ouachita (10-9, 4-3 GAC) came at the end of the set when they pushed the lead out to four and pushed through for the win
  • Set Two: L, 15-25
    • OUA pulled out to an early 8-1 advantage and never let up
  • Set Three: L, 14-25
    • Ouachita took the first four points and kept adding pressure for the win
