Volleyball Wraps Up Weekend with Southern Arkansas

ADA, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team finished up the week facing Southern Arkansas in the Kerr Activities Center, falling 3-1.

Scoring
  • Set One: W, 25-21
    • 7 tie scores / 3 lead changes
    • The Muleriders (3-19, 1-10 GAC) took the first two points
    • The Tigers (2-24, 1-10 GAC) used a 4-0 run to take a 4-2 advantage
    • ECU kept the lead around four points until a 4-0 run by SAU tied the set at 12
    • The teams were tied at 15, 17, 18 and 20 before a team took control
    • The Tigers used a 5-1 run to earn the win
  • Set Two: L, 15-25
    • 5 tie scores / 1 lead change
    • No team lead by more than three points before a 14-all tie
    • The Muleriders then went on a 7-0 run to take a 21-15 advantage
  • Set Three: L, 21-25
    • SAU jumped out to an early lead and never let it go
  • Set Four: L, 16-25
    • The teams traded the first two serves
    • But the Muleriders then took control with a 4-1 run
    • ECU was able to cut the deficit to one (6-5)
    • SAU followed with a 6-0 run to take control for good
