Box Score LAWTON, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team battled through a five-set loss at Cameron, 3-2 (20-25, 25-23, 19-25, 29-27, 8-15) in non-conference action.
Scoring
- Set One: L, 20-25
- Back-and-forth battle through the first 18 serves
- The Aggies (5-10) then used a small run to gain a three-point advantage
- The advantage was all they would need as they extended it to as many as six
- The Tigers (2-17) fought back at the end of the set and held off set point for two serves
- Set Two: W, 25-23
- The set was close at the beginning, but Cameron slowly pulled away
- Built the lead to as many as 7-12
- ECU then used a 7-0 run to tie the set at 12 and take a 13-12 lead
- The set was tight from there out with no team leading by more than two before the score being tied again
- ECU then took a 23-20 advantage, but saw Cameron fight back to tie the set at 23
- The Tigers then used two-straight kills by Sr. Kaitlyn Coffey to earn the win

- The Aggies took an early 4-1 advantage
- ECU fought back with a 5-2 run to tie the set at six and restart the battle for control
- After a tie at eight, Cameron used a 6-0 run to take control of the momentum
- Cameron kept the lead around six for the rest of the set to claim the win
- Set Four: W, 29-27
- The Aggies took an early 3-1 lead
- The Tigers fought back within one with (7-8)
- ECU continued to fight and tied the set at 10
- The set remained close, with Cameron earning a slight advantage of one-to-two points
- The Tigers tied the set at 18 and the teams traded the next four serves before ECU started a run to gain the important two-point advantage (22-20)
- Cameron didn't quit and tied the set at 23
- The set remained tight as was forced into extra points before a winner could be decided
- ECU came out on top, earning the win on a kill by Coffey
- Set Five: L, 8-15
- After a tie at two, the Aggies went on a 3-1 run to gain a 5-3 lead
- Cameron was the first to reach eight points, for the side switch, 5-8
- The Aggies continued their run (3-1) to take a 10-5 lead
- Cameron held on to the five-point lead throughout the set for the win
