Volleyball Makes Final Trip to Shawnee, Okla. for 2019 Season

SHAWNEE, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team made its second-to-last road trip of the 2019 season, this time falling to Oklahoma Baptist, 3-0, in Great American Conference action.

Scoring
  • Set One: L, 13-25
    • The Tigers (2-26, 1-12 GAC) took an early advantage and led by as many as three (10-7)
    • The Bison (23-4, 12-1 GAC) fought back to tie the set at 10
    • The teams traded the next four serves for ties at 11 and 12
    • OBU then went on a 4-0 run to take a four-point lead
    • The Bison kept up the pressure the rest of the set for the win
  • Set Two: L, 11-25
    • ECU held an early 4-2 advantage
    • OBU followed with a 5-0 run to take a 7-4 lead
    • The Bison kept up the pressure for the rest of the set and led by as many as 14
  • Set Three: L, 14-25
    • The teams were knotted at two before OBU used a 5-1 run to take a 6-4 advantage
    • The Tigers kept the disadvantage around two-or-three points until a small run push the OBU lead to eight (8-16)
    • The Bison kept control the rest of the set
