Women’s Basketball Wins Fourth-Straight Home Game

ADA, OKLA. – The East Central University women's basketball team picked up a 56-53 victory over Arkansas-Monticello at the Kerr Activities Center, making it the fourth-straight win at home for the Tigers (18-7, 13-6).

  • First Quarter: 12-16
    • The teams traded shots in the opening eight minutes for ties at 5, 8 and 10
    • In the final 2:19, the Cotton Blossoms (11-12, 9-10 GAC) went on a 6-2 run
  • Second Quarter: 16-15 (28-31)
    • UAM continued to push the run to 10-2 (20-12), with 8:32 left to play
    • ECU went on a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to four in the next 1:30

      • UAM hit a jumper to regain a 53-52 advantage
    • The Tigers then took advantage of six trips to the charity stripe in the final 35 seconds
