Volleyball Splits Second Day at OBU Invitational

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SHAWNEE, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team split two matches in the second day of the OBU Invitational, hosted by Oklahoma Baptist.  The Tigers (1-13, 0-1 GAC) first defeated Randall 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-22) before falling to Drury 3-0 (16-25, 18-25, 15-25).

Scoring
  • Set One: 16-25
    • The teams traded points and runs through the first 18 points for a 9-all tie
    • The Panthers (6-7) then went on a 6-0 run to take control of the set for good
  • Set Two: 18-25
    • The teams battled back-and-forth at the beginning of the set
    • Set tied at 11
    • Drury then went on a 4-0 run to take control of the momentum
  • Set Three: 15-25
    • The Panthers came out ready to fight and took control early with a 5-2 run
      • Drury kept control through the set
      • Did not allow the Tigers to get closer than two points
