Volleyball Plays First Home Match of 2019

ADA, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team played their first match of the 2019 season at the Kerr Activities Center after playing the first 15 matches on the road.  The Tigers (1-15, 0-3 GAC) fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-13) to Oklahoma Baptist in GAC action.

Scoring
  • Set One: L, 17-25
    • The Bison (13-3, 3-0 GAC) jumped out to a 4-1 advantage
    • OBU kept up the pressure and led by as many as nine
  • Set Two: L, 19-25
    • The start of the set was close with several tie scores until 7-all
    • The Bison then went on a 5-1 run
    • ECU fought back and tied the set at 13 and took a 14-13 lead, with a 7-1 run
    • The teams traded points and runs until the Bison led 18-17
    • OBU then went on a 5-0 run to take control for good
  • Set Three: L, 13-25
    • The Bison jumped out to a 7-2 lead and never let the Tigers get closer than four the rest of the set
