ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The East Central University men's basketball team snapped a three-game losing streak, with an 85-71 victory at Ouachita Baptist.  The game also saw senior Camron Talley move up to No. 2 on the ECU 1,000 Point Club list.

Scoring

• 1st Half: 34-28
  • Ouachita (7-10, 4-8 GAC) started the game on a 5-0 run in the first 2 minutes
  • The Tigers (13-5, 7-5 GAC) got on the board a few seconds later with a free throw
  • Both teams then did not score for the next 4 minutes
  • ECU went on an 8-2 run to take a 9-7 advantage, with 11:21 left on the clock
  • OUA fought back to tie the game at 12 in the next 2 minutes

  • The Tigers scored the first 2 points, but OUA followed with a 6-0 run to tie the game at 36
  • The teams then started a back-and-forth battle for control of the game
  • Final tie came with 13:32 remaining, at 46
  • ECU then went on a 14-7 run to take a 7-point advantage
  • The Tigers kept pushing the tempo and had the lead out to as many as 9 (64-55), with 7:30 minutes left
  • The teams traded shots for the next 3:30 minutes
  • ECU then went on an 8-0 run to push the advantage to double-digits and held it there through the rest of the game
