Men’s Basketball Ends 2019-20 Season in GAC Quarterfinals

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – The East Central University men's basketball team saw the 2019-20 season come to an end, with a 94-90 loss to Oklahoma Baptist in the 2019-20 Great American Conference Championship Tournament quarterfinals.

Scoring
  • 1st Half: 36-43
    • The opening eight minutes were a back-and-forth battle
      • No team lead by more than three points
      • Four tie scores, last at 17
    • The Bison (21-8, 15-7 GAC) then went on an 8-0 run over the next three minutes to take the lead for good in the half

    • The Bison quickly regained the lead, with a 6-0 run in the next two minutes
    • ECU kept the disadvantage around 7 for the next 2:30 minutes
    • The Tigers then went on a 4-0 run to cut the deficit to three (59-56), with 8:35 left
    • OBU followed with a 9-2 run over the next two minutes to increase the lead to double-digits
    • The Bison kept the lead around 10 for the next four minutes
    • ECU then pushed back with a 5-0 run to cut the deficit to 6 (81-75), with 2:10 remaining
    • The Tigers kept the deficit between 6-8 points until the final minute when they were able to cut the disadvantage to 4 (88-84)
    • The teams traded shots for the remaining time
