ADA, Okla. – The East Central University women's basketball team picked up its third-straight victory, with a 58-48 decision against Northwestern Oklahoma State at the Kerr Activities Center.

Scoring
  • 1st Quarter: 10-8
    • The Tigers (3-1, 3-1 GAC) started the game on a 3-0 run, in the first 1:30 minutes
    • The Rangers (3-3, 1-3 GAC) cut the deficit to one (3-2), with two free throws
    • Over the next two minutes, ECU increased the lead to six (8-2)
    • NWOSU did not score a basket until 5:09 was left in the quarter
    • With the Tigers leading 10-4 (4:09 left), the Rangers started a 6-0 run during the remaining time to cut the deficit to two
  • 2nd Quarter: 17-9 (27-17)
    • Neither team scored in the first two minutes
    • ECU then went on a 9-0 run, over the next two minutes
    • NWOSU countered with a 6-0 run in the next 1:30 to cut the deficit to five (19-14)
    • The Tigers then took control, with a 6-0 run, to gain a double-digit advantage (25-14), with 1:36 remaining
    • The teams traded shots for the rest of the stanza
  • 3rd Quarter: 20-13 (47-30)
    • The Rangers opened the half with an 8-0 run, in the first 1:15
    • The teams traded shots for the next five minutes, with ECU leading 42-28
    • The Tigers then used a 5-0 run to push the lead back to 19 (47-28), with a minute left on the clock
  • 4th Quarter: 11-18 (58-48)
    • NWOSU continued a run from the final minute of the third quarter into the fourth, with a 6-0 run (47-34)
    • The Rangers kept pushing and added a 5-3 run, with 4:33 left to play (50-39)
    • The teams battled back-and-fourth for the rest of the game
      • In the final 1:38 neither team allowed a basket
        • NWOSU led at the charity stripe in the span, 5-4
