Men’s Basketball Falls in Close Game to Oklahoma Baptist

ADA, Okla. – The East Central University men's basketball team dropped a 64-58 decision to Oklahoma Baptist at the Kerr Activities Center.

  • 1st Half: 22-27
    • The Bison (6-3, 6-2 GAC) opened the game on a 13-4 run, in the first three minutes
    • The Tigers (4-5, 4-5 GAC) fought back with a few runs and slowly broke the deficit down to one (20-21), with 5:38 left
    • OBU pushed the lead back to five and held it through the half
  • 2nd Half: 36-36 (58-63)
    • The teams traded shots through the first nine minutes, with the Bison leading by five (37-42)
    • ECU made a run in the next two minutes to gain their first lead of the game (43-42)
    • The Tigers kept up the pressure and finished a 10-0 run (47-42) to lead by five
    • OBU quickly gained back the lead and held it around five points the rest of the game
