Volleyball Sweeps Southeastern on Senior Night

ADA, Okla. – The East Central University volleyball team gave its three seniors an extra gift in their last match at the Kerr Activities Center, sweeping Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0 (25-20, 25-17, 25-17).
The Tigers (15-13, 11-5 GAC) also secured their first winning season in school history and set the most wins in a single season, as the added gifts for seniors Sydney Dungen, Taylor Greenameyer and Darcie Kaiser.

  • Set 1: 25-20
    • The teams traded serves and small runs through the first 14 points
    • ECU started to take the lead, going on a 3-0 run
    • The Savage Storm (8-18, 5-11 GAC) kept things close and tied the set at 14 and 15
    • The Tigers used a 3-1 run to gain the needed advantage
    • The teams traded serves until another 3-0 run got ECU to set-point (24-19)
  • Set 2: 25-17
    • The first six serves were traded before the Tigers took control
    • ECU went on a 6-1 run for a five-point advantage
    • SEOSU fought back to tie the set at 12 (8-6 run)
